Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of kalling, a Korean conversation practice app operated by SOUNDGYM ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
1. The service
kalling gives you phone-style conversations in Korean with an AI tutor, plus transcripts, corrections, and translations of those conversations. The tutor is an artificial intelligence: its responses, corrections, and translations are generated automatically and may occasionally be inaccurate or imperfect. kalling is a language-practice tool, not a source of professional, medical, legal, or other advice.
2. Your account
You sign in with your Apple or Google account and are responsible for activity that happens under your account. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your country) to use kalling. You can delete your account at any time in Settings.
3. Subscriptions and free tier
- The free tier includes one call per day. Premium is an auto-renewable monthly subscription that extends your daily call time. Quotas and features of each tier may change as the service evolves.
- The price is shown in the app and at the store checkout in your local currency. New subscribers may be offered a free trial (currently 7 days); you can cancel during the trial without being charged.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it anytime in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings — deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- For purchases made through the App Store, Apple's standard licensed application end user license agreement also applies.
4. Acceptable use
Don't misuse the service: don't attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to our systems, resell or scrape the service, use it to generate unlawful content, or circumvent usage limits. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
5. Your content
Your side of the conversations is yours. You grant us the license needed to operate the service — to process, store, and display your conversations back to you, including sending audio and text to our AI providers to hold the conversation and generate corrections. 6. Our content
The app, its design, and the AI-generated tutor content are owned by us or our licensors. You may use them only within the app, for your personal, non-commercial language learning.
7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't guarantee that calls will be uninterrupted, that AI responses will be accurate, or that the service will be error-free. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, or your statutory consumer rights.
8. Changes and termination
We may update the service and these terms. For material changes we will update the effective date above and notify you in the app where appropriate; continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms. We may suspend or discontinue the service, in whole or in part, with reasonable notice where practicable.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country you live in.
